​The lakes and rivers around the region are perfect for a dip to keep cool over the hot summer months. There is an indoor pool at the Otematata Holiday Park & Lodge that the public can pay a small fee to come and enjoy the safety of their pool.​ Please keep safety in mind when swimming and avoid areas near dam outlets and with fast flowing water.
