Choices Galore!

Surrounded by water, you are spoilt for choice when looking for a great fishing spot near Otematata.  With Lakes Benmore, Aviemore, & Waitaki all only a stone throw away you will soon be reeling in that trophy trout. Add lakes Ohau and Ruataniwha to that list and you can almost always find the perfect spot. If you prefer wandering the winding trails of rivers then try stalking the trout in the Otematata or Ahururi or if you prefer chasing the salmon then give the Waitaki a crack.  Only fifty minutes by car will have you fishing the canals, which are stocked with trout and salmon.
