The hotel was built in the late 50's to help accommodate people whilst the Benmore Dam was built.  In 1972 DB bought the hotel and gave it a make over.  Since then it had remained in pretty much the same original country style pub.  With 10 rooms that have been given a soft update and the bar constantly being upgraded, we are sure you will love this classic kiwi style pub/hotel.

Our restaurant brand, NZ Low & Slow Meat Co, cooks it's meats on a genuine Texas Original Pitt BBQ.  This provides meats that are tender, succulent with a smokey flavour you can't get anywhere else! All of our ingredients are 100% natural. From the authentic wood smoke to the rubs and marinades there are no tricks here. Just great ingredients and care.

Otematata Holiday Park and Lodge provides affordable holiday accommodation in an established setting that is being continually improved by its owners, Brent & Kirsty. Originally accommodation for the workforce building the Benmore Dam, the Lodge has played a very important part in helping establish the township.
